About TrendMeToday
We track what India is talking about, rank it by momentum rather than publish time, and keep tracking it after everyone else moves on.

What this is
Most news sites publish a story and forget it. TrendMeToday treats a trend as a living thing: we detect it, score how fast it is moving, and keep a permanent record of its whole arc — when it started, when it peaked, and whether it is still climbing or already cooling.
That is why the homepage is a chart rather than a feed. Position and movement carry information that a reverse-chronological list cannot.
What the heat score means
Every tracked trend carries a heat score from 0 to 100. It is a composite of how fast interest is accelerating, how many independent sources are covering it, and how recently it moved. It is a measure of momentum, not importance — a viral clip can outscore a policy change, and that is the honest reflection of what people are actually searching for.
Status follows the curve: rising, peaked, cooling, then archived. Archived trends stay published, because “this peaked three weeks ago” is useful information.
How we report
We summarise and contextualise reporting from other outlets, and we link to them. We do not republish their words. Facts are extracted and written in our own language; direct quotes are short and always attributed.
Every claim on a trend page is labelled by what kind of claim it is — a verified fact, a reported statement, an official record, an unproven allegation, or our own analysis. You should never have to guess whether something is established or merely alleged. The editorial policy explains the rules in full.
Where AI fits
Trend detection, scoring and drafting are automated. Nothing publishes without passing automated fact-verification against the original source, and anything touching a named person or company is held to a stricter standard. We say so plainly on the AI transparency page — including what the automation gets wrong.
When we get it wrong
We fix it and we say so. Every correction is logged publicly with the original wording, the correction, and the reason — see corrections. Nothing is edited silently.
If something here is wrong or unfair, tell us via contact. We acknowledge within 24 hours.
How it is funded
Advertising. We do not take payment to cover a topic, to rank one higher, or to remove one. Ranking is computed from the data and nothing else. If that ever changes, it will be disclosed here first.
